[restab title=”Insurance Paramedical Health Examination”]
A Insurance paramedical exam is a personal interview performed by an Paramed examiner to collect information about your medical history. This information allows the insurance company to perform a comprehensive evaluation of your current health.
A certified Paramedical Examiner gathers this information during the examination. The examiner will ask you questions about medical history (Past and Present) and record your Height and weight , blood pressure.. Your insurance company may also require an EKG (electrocardiogram), blood and urine sample , drug screening, or an oral fluid sample
The exam will take approximately 15 to 1 hour, depending on your medical history.
[restab title=”Specimen Collection”]
Stat Lab technicians use universal precaution practice, and sterile testing materials for each examination. The paramedical examiner will open all packaging seals in your presence.
[restab title=”EKG”]If an electrocardiogram (EKG) is required by the insurance company, it would then be included as part of the examination. An EKG records electric impulses of the heart. Testing is usually completed in less than 10 minutes.
During the painless EKG procedure, electrodes are attached to your chest, arms and legs while you are lying down.
Your shirt must be unbuttoned. It is important to remain relaxed to prevent muscle interference on the EKG training.[/restab]
What Happens After the Exam?
Following the exam, the exam results and any other requirements are forwarded to the insurance company. All collected specimens are sent to the designated laboratory and the results are forwarded to the insurance company for underwriting. All information is strictly confidential.
